This laptop stand is perfect for my needs. My use case: I work as a consultant and mainly work at client sites in any cubicle, desk or desk that they can leave while I am on site. I love using the Microsoft Surface's external ergonomic keyboard, and to get the space I need for it I have to lift my huge, clunky laptop off my desk a bit. This stand in particular suits my needs very well as it is collapsible and comes with a handy carrying case. That means when I'm done on the spot, I can lay it flat, put it in a bag, and put it in my backpack! Thing is, I'm not worried about the metal stand scratching anything else that might be in the same pocket in my backpack. I use this with a very thick, heavy HP Omen 15 inch gaming laptop and the stand holds up very well. It also gives you a place to attach extra cables, a power supply box or whatever underneath the laptop when you lift it up. The only complaint is that the front, which folds down to prevent your laptop from sliding around, doesn't always work stays right where I want them, but that's not really an issue, and most likely because my laptop is too heavy...compared to most other ultrabooks or convertible laptops that regular people use at work Good buy and I would buy another one if I ever need it and recommend it to friends.
