The price doesn't bite

Are there better bike lights? I'm pretty sure it exists, although it's the only one I've tried lately. But for less than $25 for two sets I'm not sure you can beat the value. I bought this pair of headlights and taillights so my son and I could ride longer in the evenings and so I could ride longer in inclement weather. When they arrived I was skeptical about the build quality, but after reading a few reviews I made some recommended adjustments (wrapping a few loops of gorilla tape around the handlebars to keep the mount in place, and also the inside of flashlight). clip to add extra friction to keep the light in the mount). I was particularly concerned about the build quality of the taillights, but I've driven almost 600 miles of freeway, about a third of it in the dark and most of it in the rain and on wet, muddy roads, without removing any of the headlights or the taillight. and had no problems with anything other than minor headlight angle adjustments. My son used it less but both stayed on his bike (and he rides short distances after dark a few times a week) and had no complaints other than a small slip in the front bracket which was corrected by adding more tape. to the steering wheel. We bought rechargeable AAA batteries for the headlights and haven't had to change the batteries in the taillights yet (ours came with a spare set of coin-operated taillight batteries). When the remaining battery in the headlights gets low, the headlights start to dim slightly, and then each impact or bump seems to prompt the mode to switch from blinking or bright back to dimming, but with a new pair. AAA batteries on long trips are the solution to this problem. I was able to ride for several hours on a single pair of batteries, but your mileage certainly depends on battery type and usage. Both the headlight and taillight are very bright and the ability to focus/widen the headlight is a huge plus for the type of driving I do (I can set wider on the track and for more brightness/view on the track road become stiffer). My only real complaint after two months is that the headlight thumbscrews should allow for easy adjustment, but they are small and difficult to get hold of. I can handle it, but my teenage son has trouble tightening or loosening them tightly after I've tightened them, so I often have to resort to pliers to loosen them. I have not tested the lifetime warranty but intend to do so in case any problems arise.
