The food is cold. The backpack option is great for the beach and hiking. Cleans well. This is our go-to family day cooler. We are an active family that goes to the beach and hikes every weekend and this cooler goes with us on all our adventures. We fully download it for football days and lacrosse tournaments. The back of our SUV is a bit worn but it still looks good!
