I had high hopes of using a suction cup somewhere on the dash. The bowl is quite large and I couldn't find a place to put it, especially one with a large enough smooth surface to allow suction. I ended up using the included clip to attach it to the air vent. It stays online with no problems. I have an iPhone 12, it stays on the magnet and hasn't fallen off yet. The magnet is very weak and the phone must be placed precisely on the magnet for it to hold. I'm not entirely sure about liability.
