Mediocre men's gloves

I'm a fan of Smart Wool and own several pairs of socks that I really like, but these gloves are mediocre. The fit is definitely large, just a finger length. I have big hands and the large size left maybe an inch of room so I had to go back to the medium size. As far as touchscreen functionality goes, I'd say they work about half the time when tapped, they have no problem swiping. In terms of warmth, they're okay and retain body heat fairly well (note that they don't have wind protection, but that's to be expected with gloves made of this material). My biggest complaint is the placement of the stitching on the thumbs. The seam runs perpendicular to the nail and runs along the thumb, making using the thumb on a touchscreen awkward and weird (and possibly preventing it from registering on your device at times). For a glove where the user taps their thumb on something, I can't imagine how they thought the seam would go like that. Maybe I just have a bad apple, because on all other fingers the seams run parallel to the nail.
