When we received this we wanted to put it in a crib so we could stand the camera up and not position the camera too far on furniture. The great thing about it is that it is so bendable that we can position it at any angle we want and have the best view for our child's safety. We ended up using this many times elsewhere in the house as the toddler still refuses to sleep in his room. but nevertheless it's still a very useful item because I didn't have to just leave it next to the crib.
