For the price I paid for these containers I really wanted them to be a 5 star product. Unfortunately, due to some misleading information in the description, they are not true. I will start with the pros and cons and then explain. Pros: Portability - Handles make it easy to put on and take off the shelf. Construction - they appear to be well made (although I would be afraid of dropping them on a hard surface). Appearance - They are beautiful and give the shelf a clean, organized look. Cons: stackable - misleading. Although they have built in legs as described, they are slightly tapered. And because they don't have straight sides, there's a size difference between the top and bottom of the container, which is why they can't be stacked. The top tray falls into the bottom tray when stacked. The size does not match the description - the description says the size is 14.5 x 8 x 6. This is misleading. The actual product dimensions that I received are as follows: Width - Funnel top, outside 7 15/16" funnel top, inside 7 5/8" funnel bottom, outside 7 5/8" funnel bottom, inside 7 5/16" Height : Funnel top, outside 14 1/2" Funnel top, inside 14 3/16" Funnel bottom, outside 14 3/16" Funnel bottom, inside 13 7/8" " Depth: outside 5 3/4 inches inside 5 5/8 inches As you can see from my measurements, the difference between the top and bottom measurements is almost 1/4 inch. After trying to do thorough research, reading lots of reviews, and frequently measuring my items and shelves to make sure I ordered the right product for my purpose, I specifically chose these bins because the photos and the Description make them look and sound perfect. I need a container that is at least 7 1/2 inches wide. After seeing that they are listed as 8 inches wide and stackable, I mistakenly assumed they would not taper. And knowing that the measurements are usually the outside dimensions of the item, I wrongly assumed that the 1/2 inch of headroom I needed would be sufficient. If it weren't for the 1/4" cone this would be perfect. most likely won't be returning them and will find another place in the house to use them instead while I keep looking for what I need. They are definitely one lovely useful item unless you are looking for an item of a specific size then this is 5 stars, as I have relied on the accuracy of the description they are not entirely true.
