The first thing to do is to take a good look at which SoftoDream duster product you are going for, as some of them look the same but can be made from different types of fabric. This may or may not be an issue for a particular individual, but if you have a fabric preference, read carefully. This particular duster I ordered is made from 100% Egyptian cotton and is very soft to the touch. Softness isn't as important with ruffles as it is with sheets, but they were noticeably softer than other ruffles we've used. It should be noted that before the first use, it is better to iron it a little to remove wrinkles and make it hang more evenly. While not strictly necessary, it matters.
