Review on 📱 KHOMO iPad Pro 12.9 Inch Charcoal Gray Color Case - 2017 Version - Companion Cover for Apple Smart Keyboard by Jon Booth

I have and love the KHOMO protection with Apple Pencil stand and was looking for a version without a pen holder - hence this purchase. I was shocked to find that this version (without the pen holder) is made entirely of hard plastic, with no padding or grip whatsoever. The lip doesn't even extend past my screen protector, so it doesn't provide screen protection from face plants. The only use case for this version is back scratch protection. Even then, I'd worry about dust getting back in and scratching things because there's no softness or texture to keep the dust particles in place. An even bigger mystery is why it costs so much. The hard, thin plastic it's made of shouldn't cost more than a few dollars. I can only warmly recommend KHOMO with pen holder. And I don't recommend investing in this rugged version without a pen holder. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it fits the device well and could theoretically provide some scratch protection for the contacts.
