Black interior protects against glare, silver acts as a reflective and possibly thermal layer. The vents could be a little more open as it can get a bit windy in the rainy season. The way the screen opens is beautiful. I bought 2 sizes. One for me and one for when my wife and I walk together as we live in the city center and walk quite a bit. People see it and want it. This year there are more umbrellas downtown than ever before. It's hard to walk in direct sunlight in a business suit!
