Review on RetiCAM Smartphone Tripod Mount: All-in-One Universal Metal Adapter with Standard and XL Mounting Kits by Christian Bennett

This mount is probably the best of the bunch - I think you get what you pay for. Love the design and the very secure way my iPhone 6 clips into the Luvvitt Ultra Armor Case (another winner btw). The only thing I didn't like was the decision to use plastic sliders on either side of the adjustment screw. The bars are quite flexible and allow the entire clamp to tilt and flex slightly from top to bottom (see other pictures attached). I solved this by driving to my local ace - I decided to replace the plastic pins with slightly longer 3/16" pins that were trimmed down to about 2.5" in length. Although my digital caliper measured both sets of pins at 3/16 inch, there was little play when using the new stainless steel pins. A thin wrap of clear tape on the new pins allowed them to fit snugly but loose enough. slide. In retrospect, I should have picked up the bracket from the hardware store. There are many variations in the size of the finished studs; I'm sure I could find a pair that fit tighter - another 1/32" would be perfect.
