Necessity for inaccessible machines
I have a couple of machines where the USB ports are fairly inaccessible. One is under a desk, and not the desk where the keyboard and monitor are, the other is a Surface Studio where all the USB connections are in the back. These extensions allow me to keep a USB 3 port accessible on the desktop. Works great, nice braided cables.
Pros
- The cable works and the price wasn't bad.
Cons
- Signal Interference: The longer the cable, the more potential for signal interference, which could lead to slower data transfer speeds or even dropped connections altogether
