I ordered this device and was initially very happy with it. The vent clip worked well in one of my cars, but in my Honda Ridgeline the shifter column made it difficult to attach the phone to the driver's right vent. So I used a suction cup mount on the dash for this and it stays in place very well. So both mounting options feel very solid and the overall build quality and functionality of this device seems very good. However, my problem is that the release buttons are VERY sensitive. There is a release button on the bottom right and left of the device that you only need to activate to start the motorized staple opening. I have found that you only have to brush the button a little to undo it. I would hope it would require a tactile press but there isn't one. This became a problem because when I touched the screen with my right hand, it often got close enough to the button on the right and caused the device to open: I didn't realize I was opening it until I accelerated and my phone saw fly out and hit the floor. So I ordered two other devices to see if they solved the sensitive button issue. With this device, you had to consciously press the trigger to release it and not just grab it. However, the problem with this device is that my iPhone 11 with the Unicorn Beetle Defender case was too thin for the clips, so I'm sending it back. So in the end I keep this ZeeHoo device, but I opened the device and removed the button on the right side. After disassembly, the plastic button is simply removed from the circuit board (no soldering required). After the button was removed I simply sealed the hole with a small piece of black tape. This leaves only the left button active, which I can hardly accidentally press in my setup. So I think it will work fine for me without having to try a different set of devices for the right combination of features.
