It's just a must! I bought two sets to get through the metal gates (2) I bought. I bought a gate to hold my puppies in the hallway of my parents house while visiting. My mother is very picky about her (pet) house and woodwork. It was a blessing! As soon as I pulled the gate up, I knew why I needed wall protectors! Due to the pressure distribution of swing gates, you only need a set of two for each gate to get over the top of the gate. They worked great and you couldn't even tell we had heavy goals for several days with LOTS of traffic coming in and out. They were worth every penny! I would highly recommend them to anyone using/installing in/on a door frame and wanting to protect the wood/finish. Thank you!
