Exactly what I was looking for

What is it for? Sometimes I need a strap on my camera and other times I want to remove the strap, either for tripod work (where wind can cause problems with a wide camera strap like mine moving the camera body) or just for handheld shooting. held without a strap during transport. It takes too long to put on or take off the belt. These plastic quick release buckles (smaller but otherwise similar to many camera bags) allow me to put the strap on and off the camera body very quickly. The plastic parts seem strong enough to last a while and keep gear secure. Installation is easy. Remove the camera strap from your body. Disconnect a VKO buckle (you get two with each purchase, enough for one camera) and thread the camera strap through the open or female end of the buckle, remembering to double fold the strap through the clip as before. Take the closed or male end of the buckle and thread the strap through the eyelet on the camera body, then pull the male buckle through the loop to tie a knot. Snap the buckles together and the belt is fastened. Press the sides of each buckle to release the strap. Very easy. Here's a video demonstrating the installation if you're still having trouble.
