I bought it when it was about $9. For the price, this is good value. I would not recommend the regular price ($12). The sound quality is relatively good. The quality of the transistor radio is above average. FM reception quality is better than AM. There is some noise in AM, but nothing out of the ordinary. I would say the AM reception is above average for this type of radio. Local channels are easily tuned in. I turned on this radio late at night and could hear an AM station in a Utah town about 500 miles from me. In general the radio doesn't seem bad but I can't vouch for how long it will last as I haven't owned it that long.
