Review on Timex T5E901 Ironman Classic Black by Heather Young

This watch is good enough

Four stars are not to be criticized. These watches are good enough. But that doesn't fill me with happiness. I used to have an Ironman watch. I replace the newest one because it always wastes a day. The time was right, but the clock thought it was yesterday. Since one of the purposes I use my watch for is to tell the day of the week, this forced me to look for a replacement. It wasn't a battery. That changed for me a while ago. [By the way, I wish the watch batteries were easier to change.] This watch has a slightly better display than my previous ones. A lighter background seems to help readability. This watch can tell the time. I know how others can watch, and these days they're all equally good at it. Only time will tell if the clock runs a little faster or slower. So far it is against entropy. The Indiglo feature works very well. In the dark, it illuminates the display so that it is easy to read for a short time. Since this is Iron Man, it has some features to help athletes track their progress. I, like all true patriots, am overweight so I should benefit from it, but in practice it isn't. I don't run or swim - likely activities that could make a lap counter useful. In truth, I bought this watch because of the easy-to-read LED display. As long as other features aren't forced upon me, I don't mind having them.
