It’s really gray but when you put it on it looks black. But it doesn’t fit right. The bottom piece leave a part of the back out. Purchased for an outdoor patio party. Material is very thin so you would need two to give a little fullness. The look is more like a mesh material vs a chiffon or other type of draping material. We bought blackout shades from a big box Swedish company for our boys’ bedroom and these for our room. These were the more expensive of the two pairs. This is one of the best knee sleeves I have used. However, I recommend that whatever your measurement may be, order one size bigger. I am a true medium size user but the medium size for this sleeve has a very strong elastic band at the top of the sleeve and it left a deep impression on my upper thigh and after a few days of use, (I use the sleeve pretty much all day) it would start to itch.
