I now have several blue light blocking glasses as I do a lot of screen reading in the evenings. There are a few lightweight pairs in the mix, but I wouldn't take them with me on trips. However, this pair is quite durable, as is the hard case it came in. These cat glasses are definitely retro from the 1960s. They even have a bit of glare that reminds me of the tiny cubic zirconia so many had. While really fun, I was much more interested in their ability to block blue light. I have a small test kit that lets me know if it actually blocks blue light. When I use my little flashlight-like tester, it shines a beam on the test paper. When it turns purple but blue light falls on it. When I shined a beam through one of the lenses on these glasses, the test paper didn't change color. Blue light affects sleep so the blue light doesn't bother me when using these glasses at night. I go to bed early but don't want to fight for sleep. Of course, these glasses are not available over the counter, but they increase 1.75. The other pair I own have no risers so they are perfect. I can easily read from my iPad screen. They fit like real glasses, right down to the nose pads and hinges. They are quite comfortable despite being fashionable in old school style. There is also a hard case for the glasses and a small cloth for cleaning the glasses. If you want blue light glasses with magnification and fashionable look, this would be a good choice.
