Review on Scosche Eso34 Ground Loop Isolator by Paul Williams

Works great: Noise Filter

My iPhone is connected to my 2007 G35 sedan via RCA cables. I'm using an Apple cable with a dock connector that splits into red, white, and yellow RCA connectors, and a USB connector. I connected a USB connector to a standard 12V car socket, to a USB socket and an RCA connector to the sockets in the armrest. This charges my phone, lets me play music through the AUX input, and when I stop it plays videos (movies, music videos, podcasts). I knew it was engine noise. I used to try a cheap ground loop isolator from a radio store, but it was very bulky, took up a lot of space in a limited armrest, and didn't work properly. I chose this adapter and to my surprise it worked great! Now I still hear some background noise when I turn up the volume when nothing is playing, but I don't usually hear it when music is playing. Sometimes I hear phone noises, but that's inevitable. This worked great for my setup.

Pros
  • Noise Filter
Cons
  • Low Maintainability
