*Great* Cleanser for Oily/Combination Skin + Refreshing Bath

I stumbled across this old teenage favorite and decided to give it another try - glad I did! For reference, I'm an adult with oily, acne-prone, and somewhat sensitive skin. Chemicals or peelings that are too harsh irritate the skin around the nose, chin and cheekbones in particular. Oh, and I always forget - my cheeks dry out quite naturally! It's pretty mean, but that's life. :P This product works great. It's pretty gentle, so I can use it with a soft washcloth to lightly exfoliate my skin. Frustrating for sensitive skin that gets oily easily and that *needs* a daily exfoliator, but this stuff seems to bridge the gap between gentle + cleansing. It seems like tea tree helps heal my skin when I scrub it too much or it's damaged by inclement weather. I love that Desert Essence has been a real company for decades and I love the price too. If you have combination, oily, and/or acne-prone skin, give these a try. Note: This is a giant 32 ounce bottle with no pump. It's probably a refill bottle, but at this price point (currently $13) it just can't get any better. Buy a pump or pour some into a smaller bottle that you will refill like I did. Oh, and my boyfriend sometimes steals washing liquid when the skin under his beard itches, flakes - usually naughty in winter. He likes it too. :-) UPDATE: 2015-12-01 - So that's a really ridiculously large bottle. So this bottle, especially with my tendency to try new things, was still heavy and full after almost a year. In conclusion, I decided to see what else I could do with this cleanser and found that it worked for an interesting bathroom. As a bath additive, it does not foam for long. It levels off very quickly, leaving the water cloudy. I think it's because of the Castilian soap as it's the same as Dr. Bronner's soap. Like Bronner, you might not want this in your hair, or if you repeat rinsing, conditioning, and rinsing β€” otherwise you'll end up with a weird sediment + thing that dries out. It can also stain your razor and leave a film in the tub. BUT, if you like the smell of tea tree and/or greasy/acne/etc. Have body skin or anything else that can be cleared by the healing properties of tea tree oil. -- makes a strong and effective bath. I don't really have oily skin except on my face, neck and chest, but my skin still felt great after soaking it and jumping out of the tub to apply some body oil. And I find some medicinal scents refreshing: tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary, etc. Mmm! Hope that helps! :-)
