I ordered this for my friend's foster family who has a revolving door with puppies. The puppy she has now didn't touch this food in the morning. He continued to play but searched the blankets for something to eat (food other than this), then went out on his own again, played with stuffed animals and then went to bed to take a nap. That evening, however, he was more receptive to that food. It's not his favorite dish, but that's okay. These granules are round and granular. It is unclear where the ingredients come from. First 10 ingredients: Chicken Meal, Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Dried Beet Pulp, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), Egg Product, Brewer's Dried Yeast, Natural Chicken [SIC - yes, it's listed twice] Flavor, Menhaden Fish Meal, Lecithin, etc. I find the food acceptable in terms of ingredients. The current price of $13.99 is reasonable for a 4 lb pack and cheaper than some of the other puppy foods he has eaten.
