Bought these for my 30 year old gelding with severe arthritis. At first I wasn't sure if they weren't causing new problems, but I gradually introduced them when his arthritis was very bad. Fitted his Rx (under vet supervision) and since then there's a noticeable difference in when he wears them and when he doesn't. But with the new Rx and no magnets, it moves slowly and harshly. With magnets on his knees he is much more flexible and moves more freely across the pasture. Now he wears them alternately 6-9 hours a day and they are holding up well. A big plus is that they are SUPER easy to put on and take off (velcro on both sides) and stay in place well. Difference. They cool the area and seem to reduce inflammation, making the joint more flexible.
