Now the sun is shining, I use it right on the windowsill every day. I can charge up to 6 AAA every day. I reloaded the AA but it took a few days. No complaints, but if it were redesigned the red and green lights on the front should be on the back next to the power button to make it easier to see when charging is complete. I'm not really sure why there is a switch at all to be honest. Again, I use this indoors when the sun is shining through the window. I don't use shutter slides, I just keep them open. Please note that the charging completion indicator only lights up when all batteries are charged.
