Review on Valterra T1027 Rotating Adapter 3 Bayonet by Vedavyas Fleming

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better than the competition.

I always see people rate the tightness of the pad gasket. Here's the thing: Not all sewer connections are the same on every RV. should be, but let's be honest. Some van manufacturers use cheaper parts than others, and some of those parts don't go through strict quality control. The end result is that the grips that the bayonet is designed to snap into are not always the same distance from the edge of the seat. Exit. There will always be minor discrepancies. With all this, my mobile home has two sets of tanks and therefore two waste water connections. And guess what, not every connector that fits perfectly in my front tanks also fits perfectly in my rear tanks and vice versa. This will always be the case with this motorhome. So when I buy new fittings or hoses or whatever, I always check to see if the gasket is tight or not before trying to drain the nasty black or gray water through it. . If it's not firm enough, I replace the included pad with a slightly thicker one. You can buy gaskets from Revain or almost any pickup truck store. A set of four usually costs less than $5. It's a good idea to have them handy for any car enthusiast, because even the best hoses or fittings will eventually need a new gasket anyway. Now back to that faucet. In contrast to the competition, this one has 4 instead of 2 bayonets. 👍 Unlike the competition, this one allows the bayonets to rotate. 👍 As with the competition, I had to change the gasket on one of the two I bought to make sure there were no leaks - no points awarded for that (see above).

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
