Learning curve, but worth it!

After repeatedly trying to print a stencil on my Cricut I gave up and bought these stencils for my daughter's room. Most templates cost a lot for a thin plastic cutout so this was one of the better options for the price and an attractive boot. I've read the instructions and tried to be careful, but there's certainly a learning curve. I suggest practicing on heavy card stock or poster board before turning to a wall or piece of furniture. We tried it with a brush, a small roller and a sponge. The sponge technique definitely worked the best. While some flowers bled into empty areas, most of the colors we stippled worked just fine. First we cut out one flower, remove the sticker and clean it, and then we make another one. We got to the point where we just taped the decal around the wall and applied a few of the same colors before cleaning. This sticker also included a smaller flower sticker and we made a few of those too. My daughter is happy with how the flowers turned out and we're glad they added some vibrant color without being too visually overpowering. When we were done we washed the stencil and boxed it up for future projects. If you're looking for a fun addition to coloring, try this stencil!

Pros
  • Stenciling is one of the easiest and CHEAPEST ways to decorate - update your look with different colours, motifs and patterns. A COST-EFFECTIVE alternative to wallpaper and stickers - just buy one and you can cover the entire wall.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
