Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Optimal 100W Iron Soldering Choice by Chris Sanders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Has lots of heat for big jobs

Got this to disassemble/assemble a few packs of RC 2S2P 7200 Lipo. The type of solder and amount of solder on the leads was way more than my 60 watt iron could melt. There were no problems with this iron. The tip is a little big for what I need, but I suspect he needs it so he retains enough warmth for larger tasks. If I didn't have my 60W adjustable iron, I would use a rheostat and some small attachments. However, it is suitable for soldering larger diameter wires (10AWG/12AWG). My 60W manages that, but next time I need to replace or install new ends I'll give this one a try. This can reduce the chance of heating a large amount of wire, causing the solder to spread.

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Equipment
Cons
  • Slightly dented
