They are the best in function and price.1. The attached loop is in front of the earring, not under it, but probably 50% of my earrings either twist or don't have a 'front'. See image. For those who prefer to look "outside" rather than "front", I bought a set of metal loops which I attach to the loop on the front of the converter and then attach the shackle to the new loop. This will cause the finished earring to hang at a 90 degree angle to its previous position. You can add more loops if you want longer earrings.2. The hole for attaching the earring is indeed quite large at 1/16 inch in diameter. I am 67 years old and had cataract surgery. I had no problems with them.3. You are not overwhelmed. If you need to open/close the loop on the front of the transducer (instead of the loop on the earring), be careful.4. This is for jewelry. The metal will tarnish over time or the "shine" will disappear. If this happens and your earrings still look good, buy a few more and do it again! If the converter hurts your ear (they're pretty tight), just gently push the part that's on the back of your ear toward the part it's attached to. You have less back contact with the ball. I've looked at several different ways to redesign earrings and this is by far the easiest. I'm buying more right now.
