The case looks good but needs to be tightened enough that it appears you can break the screen. It snaps to the edges of the laptop and I was able to film all but one just sitting there. Every time I picked up the computer by the base, I heard the edges snap off. The case isn't bad, but it fits so tightly that I'm sure it will stain the laptop's finish. I don't drop my laptop, I just liked the sturdy look. My laptop is new so the top half could stand alone at any angle, but I've read other reviews that said it opens after a certain point. I see it happening over time. When I close the laptop with the case on, my hinge, even though it's new, still closes the last few inches due to the extra weight. I'm sending the case back and ordering a skin for ascetics and protection from scratches. I went back to my leather case which I bought from Hide and Drink (excellent quality).
