Wow I was so scared to buy one of those stools on Amazon. So many negative reviews! But I had a friend who bought this one and she liked it so I decided to give it a try. We gave this to my son for his 1st birthday and he loves it. He climbs and plays alone in the kitchen or dining room while I clean/cook. It's very stable, but I had to retighten a few screws every 2 months. My son is kind of fearless and wild, jumps in and leans over and he's not hurt, but I'm always at arm's length, watching him out of the corner of my eye. When the safety bar wasn't all the way through, he sat down and almost fell out, but I caught him. Too bad I didn't check the rear safety bar. He has water, food, soap, markers. everything is on it and it cleans wonderfully. I assembled everything myself in about an hour.
