I really like this shaving bowl. The textured stainless steel finish feels good in the hand and looks great. A few things to note for new users: If you're using this with soap, the 3-inch model is too small for some razor blades, but you can easily rub the soap into the bowl. To be honest I think this is the best way to use a soap washing machine anyway as you can rub part of the block and save the rest of the block for later. Ideally you should use both this bowl and one. Search the internet for how to use shaving soap and you will find that the ideal method is to first wet the brush with soap and then transfer it to the razor. Create cup and froth. This way you will get better foam quality. So for those of you who are worried about the size of that bowl when it comes to making foam, think of it as a soap holder, not a bowl to lather in. If you plan on using shaving cream instead of soap you won't be using the bowl and mug technique so I would recommend a larger gett as it will really be too small to hold suds.
