Easy Installation, Good Instructions

We bought this so we could close the door to the room we keep the cat box in and hopefully keep our dog out of the cat box. It's very cute and the instructions are excellent. The template made installation easy. I installed on a hollow door, and since cutting the bottom of the door removed a large amount of door structure, I took the cut piece of the bottom of the door and glued it back into the door above the arch to create some reinforcement. It is very easy to install. The fact that a tiny doorknob operates a deadbolt is fun and quirky, if perhaps a little impractical for everyday use. Our cats didn't think twice before using it, they just tilt their heads slightly and run ahead. But overall 5/5 stars. don't ask me how but a corgi can go through that door. She was sitting on one side of the door, looking dejected at not being allowed back into the cat house. The next thing I remember, I heard her digging around on the other side. To be honest I don't understand how it's physically possible and I haven't seen her in action but I guess she should lay on her stomach and run. So if you're hoping to keep corgis out, be aware that corgis can squeeze through that door. I think they should make the doorway a bit narrower as it's probably too wide for most cats to be protected from the corgi. The height of the door seems good, I just think the width could be reduced a bit.

Pros
  • EASY DIY ASSEMBLY - Most cat doors on the market are assembled with thin tape. DIYers can install this pet door in minutes. Our patented indoor cat door comes with easy-to-follow instructions and strong screws for a more secure installation. Suitable for solid and hollow doors.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something in there
