Decent sound/Interesting perceptual experiment

I bought these headphones based on a review I saw on Z Reviews/Youtube. My go-to pair of headphones has been the Sure SE215 for many years. I found them comfortable, accurate enough, although probably not "audiophile" in quality, and reasonably priced for what they offer. (I use the standard silicone pads, not the foam pads, although I did purchase additional yellow Sure foam pads; I just don't use them very often.) My first impression of the T2 was that they were heavy and not as comfortable on my ear. (I used the included blue foam pads.) Out of curiosity, I pulled out the scale to see how much more it weighed than the SE215. To my surprise (ie distorted perception) they weighed 11 grams each. Shocked. Then the cable on the T2 seemed much longer than the SE215 and bulky. Again, to my great surprise, the cable on the SE215 was longer than on the T2. Again. shocked. Sonically, I can't say that the T2 blew me away - at least not at first. Although the SE215's aren't known for their bass and the T2's have been criticized for their lack of bass, I found the SE215's to have significantly more bass than the T2. First. However, as I listened to the T2 more and more, I found that I really enjoyed the music I was listening to. I didn't want to drive myself crazy by constantly switching between them, which I'm sure will eventually. But given IEM's decision to listen to .wav files for my collection, I've found that I prefer the T2 SE215. And at half the price, I'd say the T2 is a good choice for all but the essential uses. What bothered me is the way the cables are connected. Twice I found that one of the cables had fallen out. This has never happened with SE215s. Two other things to note: the 3.5mm connector on the T2s is significantly larger than the 3.5mm connector on the SE215s. And T2 doesn't seem to be as effective as SE215. I didn't do any specific testing, but found I had to turn the volume up from 70% to 90% on my laptop to get the same listening volume. I enjoy T2 and never regret buying it. Path. It's just that they are ergonomically very different from the SE215 and it takes a while to get used to them.
