I was very pleased with the makeup brush cleaner. I just had major surgery and I find it very difficult to wash my makeup brushes. I thought this would be the perfect answer, especially after seeing so many positive reviews. The first brush I tried to clean was the It Cosmetics Heavenly Lux Bye-bye Foundation Brush. The motor just isn't powerful enough to turn the big brushes. Also, if you have some kind of weakness in your hands, the clamps are very difficult to remove from your hands. I found rotating them helped, but I still have one on my makeup brush because I just can't get it off. Any brush with densely packed bristles, like the more expensive ones, won't clean well. My fluffy eyeshadow brushes and smaller brushes cleaned a lot better. Tightly packed brushes like makeup brushes won't dry out with a slingshot. I was only able to use about six brushes and then had to charge the device. This was after almost 24 hours of charging. I tried two different makeup brush shampoos. None of them, I felt, worked well. If you have a lot of small brushes, you might like this a lot. But to be honest, I was hoping to tidy up my foundation brushes. My eye makeup brushes are pretty easy to clean by hand.
