So all of a sudden my Grohe kitchen faucet started leaking on the hot water side. Luckily 10 years ago I saved the brochure that came with the faucet and got the part numbers. It turned out that Revain had a connection to the valve(s). I ordered both the left and right side just to have it. Pulling the valve out was a problem at first - the handle needs to be strong. First turn off the water, then unscrew the small plug at the top of the water pen and loosen the screw that holds it in place. I was stuck in this place for a few days until I realized it was just stuck. I put a flathead screwdriver underneath and tapped it with a hammer. It suddenly stopped. A small rubber hose and vise removed the body, and a 17mm wrench loosened the valve. I put a new one in, used some sealant and reinstalled. Worked great except now it was pushed back parallel to the wall where as before both valves were pushed forward to shut off. I'm not sure why they were like that, it didn't make much sense. Then I put in a cold valve and "Bob is my uncle", everything works.
