Wall layout 2x3

I need to reduce the wall thickness between the tub and the toilet. The old house and the toilet are a bit cramped. I bought it because it looks small compared to some other valves. I think the price is a bit high for a basic valve but the price on Moen website is the same. Thought it would be cheaper on amazon. Hand build only, looks like this valve is attached to the ends of the studs and with a Moen repair plate (3/4" deep) I can mount the valve in a 2x3 wall (2.5" deep) use with some matte…

Even if you order a new one, you can get used to it.

I don't know what to do. I pulled the Moen box out of the Revain box and it was CLEARLY used and returned and returned to me at FULL price. The box looks chipped and torn on one side. The valve lay there in size, messy and riddled with scratches. It's missing a screw holding the black plate, and that white plastic plug just dangled in the box. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed in Moena or Revane. But it's becoming more and more common. I'm so stressed and frustrated because I can't change the…

Good valve, plastic part is embarrassing

I first saw that the plastic piece holding the valve only has 1 screw, but there were 3 more screw holes, so I figured this plastic piece needed 3 more screws. After looking more closely at the installation instructions, I saw that the piece of plastic needed to be used to align the direction of the valve. Apparently the plastic part was just there to show which way the valve should go and a screw was supposed to hold the two parts together. I wish there was a short insert explaining the parts…

Leaks already in the valves

2.5 months and began to leak in the shower head (the cartridge does not close). Perhaps the plumber did something to the cartridge during installation. An investigation has begun. It fits the Moen T2472EPBN shower enclosure. It seems to me that the grip is pushing too hard on the cartridge shaft, which over time can damage it. The whole structure does not look reliable. This system replaces another Moen system that has been running without problems for 23 years. It was replaced because the…

In the morning the valve may be broken

After the valve was placed in the upper position on the pipeline, the handle and thermometer were connected, the water pressure was very low. I turned off the main water and removed the cartridge, then turned the main water back on, I had good pressure. Hoping some dirt would come out in the valve, I put the cartridge back into the low pressure valve. I bought and installed another cartridge but to my dismay the pressure is low again. I removed the cartridge while the water was pressurized. I…

Perfect temperature control!

My situation: replacing a rough shower faucet that was leaking. All copper pipe. I did copper on PEX and centered it properly. Temperature control difference day and night! I had problems with the original triangular ball valve (apart from leaks) because I couldn't keep the temperature constant. Now my shower stays exactly at the temperature I set it to. I also bought a shower lever from Moen and it is so easy and accurate. I then decided to switch my entire master bath to Moen products (their…
