The perfect tool for the Turbo L6 engine

It's such a simple tool but essential when designing BMW 6 cylinder inline turbocharged heads like the N54 engine. The spark plug hole is deep and slightly offset at the end, and while a 12-point "straight" socket can work with a suitable thin-walled design, this swivel head makes the job a lot easier. Swivel sockets increase the chance of breaking porcelain when reinstalling, but in my opinion the chance of breakage is very low because this socket limits the possible rotation to a small angle and the spark plug hole is deep enough. What. Scalping, on the other hand, greatly reduces the chance that you'll fire the spark plug incorrectly and damage the threads in the cylinder head, so it's an advantage in both removal and installation. Of course, spark plugs should always be reinstalled until they fail manually. When they don't go, there is always something wrong that needs to be taken care of. This instrument appears to be carefully crafted and is thin enough to easily fit in the head. Thin as it is, it probably won't require over-tightening, but since it only takes 15-17 ft-lbs for the plugs, it should last a long time. This is a great addition to my arsenal of tools!
