Review on ๐Ÿพ COVONO Expandable Pet Carrier Backpack - Airline Approved, Super Ventilated Design for Cats, Dogs, and Small Animals - Ideal for Traveling, Hiking, Camping by Yolanda Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compared several bags - chose this one - glad we did

This carrier has a lot to like. We read reviews before purchasing and only bought (2) 5 star bags to compare and ultimately choose between. We kept that. We have a stocky cat weighing 15 pounds. We wanted a backpack so my daughter could easily move around the airport with carry-on luggage and a cat when flying alone. There was plenty of room for him. It had enough room to lie comfortably when the bag was upright. Although there was less "floor space" than a typical padded shoulder carrier when the bag was upright, it was a smoother ride for him as he was riding on her back rather than alongside her and a large round (and low) net pushing gave him plenty of vision and air while lying down. When I sat there was a surprising amount of room in the bag. It also has a zipped mesh area so when seated it still has plenty of view, air and exceptional space. It has an additional "pop-up" room, fully meshed. The designers of this bag really focused on the cat's comfort, so the mesh windows (which allowed for great breathability and visual access) didn't have pockets, but my daughter actually used the "pull out" zippered section as a pocket and was able to grab her treats , their medication, rubber gloves, extra dropper pad and hand wipes. We examined the seams. Time will tell if it will hold up, but it seems well made. The padded shoulder straps are very comfortable. The final deciding factor was that this pack had both a sternum strap and a lower waist/waist strap. Our daughter said she distributed the weight well on her body so she didn't have to lean forward and also helped support the bag so our burly cat didn't sag and the bag didn't collapse. He was on an airplane, lying well under the seat (which, when placed on its back, gives as much room as any other shoulder bag for his in-flight comfort. He was so comfortable in his holdall that he sat up and bathed at the airport.Anyone who has a cat knows that this will not happen if the cat is not comfortable and safe (see attached picture).
