I've used these Grabber products before: once while waiting at night in Washington DC in January 2009 for a certain Presidential Inauguration (10 degrees). I also used them at the Ice Hotel in Quebec in February 2007 (-40 degrees with a cold wind). I stuffed them in the pockets of my down jacket to rest my hands from the cold and I also put them in my boots so I could feel my toes (even in cold boots). This is one of my favorite cold weather purchases. Note that they work best when kept in a closed space (in a shoe, in a bag); They will not get warm if kept outdoors and exposed to very cold air. I bought this pack for my first aid kit. If I ever run out of heat I know these little backpacks will be my greatest comfort and I believe they will work in an emergency. I opened the box when it arrived (in excellent condition) and made sure all packages were unopened and soft/pliable. When they're used up, they get hard and hard. They are all perfect so I am a happy camper.
