I have this to protect my freshly painted front door from my miniature poodle. I put this protector on my door an hour before I left, came back 3 hours later and found my dog had had time to scratch the protector and then proceeded to scratch my door and peel the paint off. I have 2 main problems: 1) It doesn't work: my little dog was able to scratch the protector and quickly pulled it off at the seams because it still had enough time to seriously damage my door 2) It did more damage: when my dog scratched the tread, she pulled it down, which in turn stripped the fresh paint from the door from the entire area it covered. Needless to say, the protector is utterly useless and ends up doing more damage.
