our dogs destroyed the blinds that we had on our patio door so I was looking for a solution that would be easy to install and would also be a product that they would not ruin. These shades arrived quickly and were as described in the product description. I did not wash them before using them and any wrinkles from the folding while in packaging fell out pretty quickly. To install them on the door I just used the included Velcro strip and placed it on the door slightly above the top of the glass and centered in the door from left to right. Once that is on then the fabric shade attaches directly to it and is ready to use. They can be left down or rolled up using the attached straps. The fabric is pretty sheer so when it is light outside you can see outside but you cannot see in and when it is dark outside you can see in but you cannot see out.I have had these up for a while now and have not had any issue with them falling down or being pulled off of the door. They are both exactly where I put them when I first hung them up. I am very happy with this purchase.
