Sturdy but too short

Little did I know they were only 13.8 inches long when I picked them out. That means you only have one screw in the bolt at best. There was no way I could use drywall anchors, but I still would have preferred to attach things like this to a solid piece of wood. holes for the bolts. I haven't installed the hammer mount yet but I can already see that this will be a problem as the holes are just under the top which will make fitting the screws a real pain. strong. In the future I will be sure to double check that item 16: matches so I can use rivets on either end.
