Review on Heavy Thermal Socks For Women And Men, Thick Insulated Cold Weather Crew Socks 1/2 Pair By RTZAT by Hartman Hernandez

Super comfortable as slipper socks but not for hiking or running in.

I originally thought I could buy these to wear hiking when it’s super cold out. They claim to be great for outdoor sports. However, I quickly decided that I would have to scrap this idea in favor of plan b (wear them for slipper socks around the house) because these are so very thick. (They are about 3x thicker than regular socks and while they will fit on under my shoes, it’s not an ideal situation especially for hiking or running in).But. since I’m now working from home, I wear this lounging socks ALL.THE.TIME. I suffer from cold feet and hands even in the summer time and so I prefer these socks even to sleep in. In fact, I only switch them out for regular socks when I am exercising or if I have to leave the house.I had been wearing thermal weight wool socks with a brushed interior from Colombia around the house for years. They were very soft but the problem with those socks is that they very quickly wore thin on the bottom and got big holes on the soles. These will still eventually get holes on the balls of your feet if you wear them all the time and wash them frequently, but they’ll last months. These socks are made in China of 95% acrylic, 3% spandex, and 2% elastic and have a fluffy soft interior. I’d recommend washing them on delicate, in a laundry bag to prevent holes and stretching. Also, I’d advise paying close attention to the sizing. I got the large size socks (normally wear a size 9 in women’s shoes) and these were big all over on me, in the foot, heals, and the ankles. I should have ordered a medium. What I love about these socks:- These feel very soft and cozy.- They don’t itch or sweat.- I can barely feel the toe seam.- These have reinforced toes and heels.- Gobs of the soft interior don’t come out int eh wash like some brands. What I don’t like as much:- These are not outdoor exercise socks due to their thickness.- These don’t feel like they have compression support in them as claimed.- These aren't really moisture wicking or really thermal. But they do keep my feet warm and dry. If you have naturally sweaty feet, you may need to wear cotton socks UNDER these.- Don’t be fooled that these are "heated” (wired) socks. They just trap the thermal heat from your skin inside the sock.Overall, I really like these as lounging socks. Not so much for exercise socks, but that’s ok. I have ordered more pairs to give to other family members who also suffer from cold feet.

Pros
  • Athletic Socks
Cons
  • They might not be suitable for people who prefer colorful or patterned socks
