does the job well. Unfortunately it didn't fit my monitor. The problem is that my monitor's VESA mounting holes are in a recess cut from the back of the monitor. The valley line forms a ridge that interferes with the adapter's release lever. The adapter comes with gaskets and a separate set of extra long screws for things like that, but now there's another problem: the screws are too long. As you can see in the second photo there is a gap between the plate and the screw heads even when I screwed them all the way in. The backplate of the adapter slips, rendering the adapter unusable. Long screws wouldn't be too long for some monitors, but not mine. However, looking at the screws, they seem to be too long, about 2.5 times the length of the spacers. I think this is too long and will be a problem for many monitors other than my own. On the other hand, if you can mount the adapter flush to the back of the monitor without spacers, I don't think you'll have a problem.
