Don't be discouraged if you need to return. I ordered this jug and was not happy at all with what I received. I immediately requested a replacement (the lid of my jug did not fit on the right side, was made too big and did not sit properly) after returning the defective jug I received a new one a few days later. SO glad I gave it another try and didn't stop because this pitcher is so good! I just put it in a bucket of water to cure over the next few days. Costs money.
