Insufficient power to drive a 3.5" hard drive with a rating of 0.52 A at 5 V and 0.63 A to operate at 12 V The product is designed for 2 A at 5 V and 2 A at 12 V. It works with 2.5" SATA drives and I haven't tested it with IDE but considering they tend to be older and less power efficient I doubt it will work either. When I compared the device to other devices with a similar declared power output. , it turned out to be much easier.. Does the stated capacity on the label look very, shall we say, optimistic?
