I was SO glad I bought this item. Bought a new Maytag washing machine. It is impossible to buy such a device if it is not semi-electronic. Due to where I live (rural) it is not recommended to plug in anything that could be damaged by power surges or surges. The day after installing this fork, we had a few spikes, surges, and blackouts due to inclement weather. Unfortunately, the new washing machine still works. I think that's because it waits 30 seconds to actually resume power. I am very comfortable. I just hope he keeps performing!
