I needed a splitter for 4 or more cigarette sockets and when I saw that it had a switch right on the plug it was perfect for my car as its sockets are always on. The plastic casing around my car's cigarette lighter socket is very flimsy and the plug is tight, you have to pull hard, it's only a matter of time before it breaks; It was almost the perfect solution. The illuminated USB ports are also a nice touch as they let you know when they have power. I used double sided tape (Alien Tape) and attached it to the inside wall of my center console. My only complaints, which aren't really complaints, are the following: 1. The location of the USB ports is in an awkward position depending on how you mount them, but there's not much you can do about it, I'd rather have them, instead of not having them. 2. The cigarette lighters are very tight, you have to really push the plugs in to plug them in and really pull them out while holding the splitter. FYI, this brand also sells an all black version, I would have bought it had I known at the time that the red one looked gaudy.
