I was concerned that these LEDs would lose most of their brightness in a very short time like any LED flashlight I've ever used. They're damn bright with new batteries, losing 60% of their brightness after just a few uses. Batteries, of course, last a long time, but I change them more often because there is not enough light. So far - after a few months of use they are holding up very well. I put all 3 in my gun safe (36" square safe) and they light it up pretty well. I thought they would be brighter but decided to install all 3 in a safe and expect the brightness to decrease after has decreased significantly in a short period of time. They don't seem to be losing much brightness yet. Motion detection systems now have to wave a hand in front of them to turn on, when I first set them up they were more responsive. But for now they seem to be doing what they are for are made.
