I was looking for a 55 inch TV at a reasonable price not knowing that most decent TVs in this range are gone and I had it Lucky to watch Revain the day these TVs came down and I quickly bought 11. Ok I got my TV today (13th August 2020) as a replacement for an older TLC 4 series. There is nothing wrong with my old TV except that even through me there is 1GB of internet. My upload speed has never exceeded 20MB/s. It was very difficult for me to get a clear answer as to whether this is good or bad or whatever and I'm willing to swear that initially when I first plugged in the TV the loading speed was much faster before it dropped to 20 and stayed there. Since this TV didn't have an Ethernet jack, I couldn't connect it. 90 mb/s, significantly better, but not outstanding. I have 1000 or more on my connected PC. I checked the wireless network and it was the same at 90. So I think I've hit a device speed limit. I would be interested to know what people are actually getting for download speeds. What is your service speed and what is your wifi and ethernet download speed? Otherwise, the new 2020 Series 6 is remarkably similar to my old Series 4. The controls and layout are pretty much the same. The picture looks great upgrade of course. Overall I'm happy with the new TV, it was very easy to set up and as I said, it's functionally so similar to the old TV that I can't really tell a difference other than the improved picture quality. UPDATE: 08/18/2020 I've had this TV for almost a week, have to give it up because of the picture quality. I watch old sitcoms, the picture is so much better it's almost the difference when HD just came out and I saw it for the first time. Watching a show created in 4K was off-putting at first, as the improved resolution emphasizes the game and gives the image an almost surreal quality of another dimension. Because of the brightness and clarity, the picture on this TV looks much larger than my 4.55 inch series. My wife was so sure it was bigger that I had to measure it and show her it wasn't. The TV speakers were also much better than previous generations I can actually hear dialogue now and use them for regular TV. Really feels like $650 well spent. Update: August 21, 2020 The TV's inability to play 4K at 120Hz if it's an exceptional feature for gaming that won't be a budget standard for a very long time to handle higher gaming resolutions should buy it and get yourself look at this TV. This is an affordable 4K TV with excellent performance for its price. The native speakers are much better than my old TV and can be used However, I decided to try a soundbar instead of hooking up my Bose 16 series ( what I will do later for music) and I bought a TLC 7.1 soundbar. For the price, the soundbar performs well and its base isn't overwhelming, which is a plus for me. The soundbar installed without any problems and I didn't notice any delays in the sound or when switching between apps. In my limited experience, most audio sync issues I've had in the past have been due to internet connection outages, not hardware. I'm a little skeptical about the reviews that talk about flowering and Black Crush. Seems to be a buzz word these days but I'm not sure I buy most of it. I haven't seen any issues with the 4K test videos available, and I suspect your picture will depend more on where you get your info from than the set. There are no doubt TVs that are better on blacks and other settings but not in this price range, and the fact that reviewers compare these "flaws" even to TVs that cost a lot more should tell you something. I suspect that the vast majority of people will be happy with this purchase. I still think $650 was well spent. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that this TV is so bright that even from 8 feet away it looks like it's a lot bigger than my last 55 inch TV. I ended up reducing the brightness from normal to dark. I'm kind of glad I didn't wait for 65 inches, which might have been too big for comfortable viewing, but it can feel different if overlooked.
